This unit is intended for revision purposes only; it lists all word components that students are recommended to learn for the Certificate of Medical Terminology Assessments at Levels 2 and 3 run jointly by City and Guilds and AMSPAR (Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers, Administrators and Receptionists). Please note: students studying for these assessments should always check the latest guides published by AMSPAR and City & Guilds. The lists of prefixes, suffixes and word roots are organised into sets of flash cards that enable students to review their knowledge of the meanings of word components. Our exam tests your knowledge of medical terminology studied in the course. The exam is entirely optional and individual sections can be taken at any time. If you obtain 90% or more in all assessments we can provide a course certificate that indicates your achievements. Resits for all assessments are available following a period of revision. These are the eight assessments that form our exam:
