Course Information – Topic by Topic

The self-teaching, online interactive medical terminology course has been suspended due to FlashPlayer being no longer available on most browsers; apologies to all our users.

InterActive Medical Terminology is unique in its approach to learning with every section containing numerous interactive exercises to engage your attention. Once you have completed the introductory unit on the components of medical words and begin to study the body systems your knowledge of medical terms will rapidly increase.

Following purchase, the full course containing all twenty-seven units will be available on your computer; access to the online course is by typing in a user name and password on login.

Each body system unit contains

anatomy exercises
word exercises
spelling exercises
spelling from dictation
flash cards
self-assessment exercises

The course is based on the learning techniques used in An Introduction to Medical Terminology for Health Care, a best selling self-teaching text now in its fourth edition. No books are required to follow the interactive course but when you are away from the computer you may find this text useful to back up and practise your new found knowledge.

If you are not sure about purchasing try the free exercises before you buy. Please be advised that some units are longer than others, this is due to variation in the number of medical terms associated with different systems. Interactive medical terminology is a self-teaching course that will enhance your studies of terms associated with different body systems and medical specialties. If you try and pass our optional exam we can provide a certificate that indicates your achievements on the interactive course.

Note: The initial payment gives access to the course for one full year from the date of purchase. After one year and for subsequent years individuals can re-enroll at no further cost.
